Sintered metallic membrane filter element is made by a kind of high porous designed metallic membrane. It provides sub-micron filtration while minimizing the pressure drop through the use of a two-density media system. There is a support layer designed to withstand the pressures of the application and a very thin filtration layer. This unique design not only minimizes pressure drop, but also allow facilitates positive regeneration of media by means of backwashing. The layers are sinter-bonded together so there is no risk of the layers separating.
