Multi layer filter media is made by which a selected range of meshes are bonded together using heat and pressure, which effectively combines the performance advantages of each individual mesh layer and leads to the optimization of the filtration process. The resulting bonded mesh makes the finest filtration possible. Thanks to the firm, strong mesh structure, it is able to resist physical loads. What's more, the surface is smooth which also benifits the cleaning process when subsequent backwashing.
Now sintered steel meshes are increasingly used instead of filter meshes for challenging applications in filtration.
