In order to ensure the normal operation and reliability of the hydraulic system of the hydraulic station, oil pollution must be controlled, and one of the main measures taken is to use suitable filters.
The core of the filter is the hydraulic oil filter element. Its function is to filter out impurities in the oil, maintain the cleanliness of the oil, prevent oil pollution, and ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
Since the filter is directly connected to the main hydraulic circuit, it is a high-pressure device. Moreover, the filter element is easy to pollute the equipment, and cannot be cleaned and reused after contamination.
Therefore, the replacement of the hydraulic oil filter element should be carried out in strict accordance with the following steps to prevent danger and damage to the equipment.
1. Disconnect the switch valve of the equipment and release the pressure. If the filter housing is removed without first depressurizing, the residue in the filter will leak due to high-pressure injection, which may cause equipment and personal injury; overheated hydraulic oil may cause fire or burns
2. Hold the rotary handle on the top of the filter and pull out the unscrewed filter head and filter element together
3. Put the filter head and filter element of the filter on the pre-prepared plastic cloth (make sure the plastic cloth is clean). Gently shake it from side to side, take out the filter element from the filter head, and check whether there are any pollutants visible to the naked eye on the surface of the filter element (if there are visible pollutants, take a sample of impurities and send it for inspection to determine the source of pollution)
4. Check whether the filter shell and filter head are damaged, and the damaged parts must be replaced. and properly clean the filter housing and filter head
5. Make sure the o-ring on the filter housing is intact and installed correctly. and properly cleaned with clean hydraulic oil
6. Put the new filter element into the filter element housing so that the center hole of the new filter element is aligned with the central axis of the filter element housing
7. Fill the filter head o-ring and threads with a small amount of clean hydraulic fluid. Screw the filter head into the filter housing and reinstall. Check the jam switch on top of the element head and reset
8. Open the valve to pressurize the hydraulic system and test the filter for leaks. In the event of a leak, check the installation process for errors and replace faulty equipment
If the light on the control panel shows that the filter is faulty or the industrial computer host shows that there is a fault (fault alarm), it means that the filter element is blocked and must be replaced. The filter element should also be replaced after a long period of inactivity. If the clog indicator switch on top of the filter flashes, the filter element is physically clogged and should be replaced. (Clean the filter housing before replacing the filter element)
The following issues must be paid attention to when replacing the filter element
1. Damaged parts must be replaced
2. It is strictly forbidden to use a pipe wrench to tighten the filter head. It is strictly forbidden to hit any part of the filter with a hammer!
3. The filter element cannot be cleaned. Not reusable!
The filter in the hydraulic system is an important device to remove impurities in the system and ensure the cleanliness of the hydraulic oil.
According to different installation locations and working environments, the following aspects should be paid attention to when selecting hydraulic oil filters:
1. At the position of the oil suction port of the hydraulic oil pump, a filter with a slightly lower filtration precision and a larger flow rate should be selected. If the flow rate of the filter is insufficient, it is easy to cause holes at the oil suction port.
2. The filter installed in the hydraulic pipeline is generally located upstream of sensitive hydraulic components such as solenoid valves.
And it must be ensured that the precision of the filter is higher than the fit clearance of the hydraulic components. At the same time, consider the pressure of the hydraulic system and choose a filter device with sufficient pressure resistance
3. The pressure resistance of the oil return filter is generally low. When selecting the type, the oil return flow of the hydraulic system should be fully considered, avoiding back pressure caused by insufficient flow of the filter equipment.
To prevent impurities from entering the hydraulic system, first, pay attention to the good sealing of the hydraulic oil tank and select a filter with good performance. Try to avoid direct contact between hydraulic oil and the external environment.
